You know, those lyrics won't work for the song I wrote, but I love them. I'm getting a sort of minimalist Willie Nelson early years idea out of it. The words are so straight forward that I think an ensemble environment, unless taken on by the most tasteful musicians ever assembled, would cloud it. I am going to use it.

Clea: It is the lazy way out. I can't even leave decent comments lately. What I have been able to do is run a lot more and really make leaps and bounds on my lifting. I'm playing around with picking up a martial art in the next month or so. Now something like MMA or Mui Thai (I'm already a plenty good brawler), but something pretty and sort of useless. I want to take advantage of my discipline lately and develop it. Then when the writing muse returns, I'll have a new mind to deal with it.

Can't help with the song, I'm afraid. I too feel like I haven't written any good thing in a month. If creativity is stifled, why push it. Or is that the lazy way out?

I wrote this ages ago. Use if you like. Change if you like. Discard if you like:

The Entropy Song

Now there's no time for explaining
As the conversation falters
And the words all lose their meaning
And the silence is expanding

Now a pocketwatch is slowing
And a filament is burning
There's a line of thread unwinding
And a spinning atom dying

Now there's lipstick on the mirror
And she's vanished in the city
And her scent is disappearing
And a burning heart is cooling

Everything falls apart
Everything falls apart,
Everything falls apart in the end.
